2.1 Account Information

If you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

Mealify may collect information you provide during onboarding or while using the app, such as:

Mealify does not collect or store your full payment card details. For iOS users, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple’s in-app purchase system.

2.6 Device and Technical Information

app version;
language settings;
crash logs;
diagnostic information;
performance data;
approximate region or storefront, where needed for subscriptions or localization.

3. Local Storage and Guest Mode

Mealify may allow you to use the app without creating an account.

If you use Mealify as a guest, certain data may be stored locally on your device, such as:

onboarding preferences;
favorites;
meal plans;
grocery list state;
app settings.

Guest data may be lost if you delete the app, clear app storage, reset your device, or change devices. Guest data may not be synced across devices unless you create or sign in to an account.

Before purchasing Premium, Mealify may require you to create or sign in to an account so your subscription can be restored and linked more reliably.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

provide and operate Mealify;
create and manage your account;
authenticate you;
personalize recipes and meal plans;
save your preferences, favorites, meal plans, and grocery lists;
provide Premium features;
verify and restore subscription access;
improve app performance and user experience;

5. Health, Nutrition, and Dietary Information

Mealify is not a medical service. Mealify may process nutrition-related preferences and goals to personalize recipes and meal plans, but it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Information such as dietary restrictions, nutrition goals, or future optional fields like age, height, or weight may be considered sensitive in some jurisdictions. We use this information only to provide and personalize the app experience, where applicable.

Dietary restrictions and allergy-related preferences are used to personalize the app experience, but Mealify does not verify that every recipe is safe for every allergy, intolerance, or medical condition. Users should always review ingredients carefully and consult a qualified professional when needed.

You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy, eating disorders, or other health concerns.

6. Third-Party Services

Mealify may use third-party service providers to operate the app. These providers may process information on our behalf.

Current or expected service providers may include:

Supabase for authentication, database, and storage;
RevenueCat for subscription management and entitlement verification;
Apple for App Store payments and Apple Sign In, where enabled;
analytics, hosting, or crash reporting providers if added later.

These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information:

with service providers needed to operate Mealify;
with payment and subscription platforms to process and verify purchases;
with authentication providers when you sign in using them;
if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
to protect the rights, safety, and security of Mealify, users, or others;
in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

8. Subscription Data and Payments

Mealify Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store.

For iOS users, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process payment information according to Apple’s own privacy practices.

Mealify uses subscription status information to determine whether your Premium access is active, expired, cancelled, or renewable.

Mealify may use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlement verification, and purchase restoration.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Mealify, manage your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Typical retention rules:

account data is retained while your account exists;
local guest data remains on your device until deleted by you, the app, or the operating system;
subscription records may be retained as needed for billing, support, fraud prevention, and legal compliance;
support communications may be retained for a reasonable period;
anonymized or aggregated data may be retained longer.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at mealifyy@gmail.com or by using the in-app deletion feature if available.

Deleting your Mealify account may delete:

your profile;
saved preferences;
dietary restrictions;
cloud-synced favorites;
cloud-synced meal plans;
cloud-synced grocery lists;
profile avatar or display name;
other account-related data.

Some information may not be deleted immediately, including:

payment and subscription records managed by Apple, RevenueCat, or other providers;
records we must keep for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute purposes;
anonymized or aggregated information.

Deleting your Mealify account does not automatically cancel your App Store subscription. You must cancel your subscription through Apple to stop future renewals.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

access your personal information;
correct inaccurate information;
delete your information;
object to or restrict certain processing;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
request a copy of your data.
