1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Mealify, including our mobile app, website, content, and services.

By using Mealify, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Mealify.

2. Description of Mealify

Mealify helps users discover recipes, view nutrition information, create meal plans, save favorites, manage grocery lists, and access Premium features.

Mealify may include:

recipes;
nutrition information and macros;
recipe versions;
meal plans;
grocery lists;
favorites;
personalization features;
subscription-based Premium access.

Mealify may modify, add, or remove features over time.

3. No Medical Advice

Mealify does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

All recipes, nutrition information, macros, meal plans, and recommendations are for informational and general wellness purposes only.

You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you:

have allergies or intolerances;
have a medical condition;
are pregnant or breastfeeding;
have diabetes or metabolic conditions;
have an eating disorder or history of disordered eating;
are following a medically prescribed diet.

You are responsible for determining whether recipes, ingredients, portions, and meal plans are appropriate for you.

4. Nutrition, Allergy, and Dietary Disclaimer

Mealify makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate recipe and nutrition information, but we do not guarantee that all information is complete, accurate, or suitable for every user.

Calories, macros, ingredients, dietary tags, and recipe versions may vary based on:

ingredient brands;
product substitutions;
portion sizes;
preparation methods;
regional product differences;
data errors or updates.

Dietary labels such as lactose-free, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, halal, or similar labels are provided for convenience and informational guidance only.

Mealify’s dietary tags and filters may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Mealify does not guarantee that any recipe is safe for users with allergies, intolerances, medical dietary restrictions, or religious dietary requirements.

Users are solely responsible for reviewing all ingredients, product labels, substitutions, preparation methods, and potential allergens before preparing or consuming any recipe.

Mealify does not guarantee absence of cross-contamination.

If you have a severe allergy, intolerance, medical dietary restriction, or religious dietary requirement, you should not rely solely on Mealify’s tags, filters, labels, recipes, or meal plans.

5. Accounts

You may need an account to access certain features, sync data, or purchase Premium.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Mealify may allow guest access. Guest mode may store data locally on your device, but guest data may be lost if you delete the app, clear storage, reset your device, or change devices.

Before purchasing Premium, Mealify may require you to create or sign in to an account so your subscription can be restored and linked more reliably.

6. Premium Subscription

Mealify may offer a Premium subscription.

The Premium subscription is:

annual;
auto-renewable;
priced at €24.99 per year, unless otherwise displayed by the Apple App Store;
billed through the Apple App Store using Apple’s in-app purchase system.

The final price, currency, taxes, and billing terms may vary based on your country, storefront, platform, and Apple’s rules.

7. Renewal and Cancellation

Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.

If you cancel your subscription, you will keep Premium access until the end of the current paid billing period. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not usually provide an immediate refund.

For iOS users, subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID / App Store subscription settings.

8. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple.

If you purchased through Apple, refund requests are handled according to Apple’s refund policies.

Mealify may not be able to issue refunds directly for purchases processed by Apple.

9. Restore Purchases

Mealify may provide a “Restore Purchases” feature to help restore active subscription access.

Restoration may require:

the same Apple ID used for purchase;
a Mealify account;
a valid active subscription;
successful verification through our subscription provider.

10. Payment Processing

Mealify does not store your full payment card details.

For in-app iOS subscriptions, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Mealify may use RevenueCat or similar services to manage subscription status and Premium access.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

copy, scrape, extract, or reproduce Mealify content at scale;
resell recipes, meal plans, or Premium content;
share or resell your account access;
bypass or attempt to bypass Premium restrictions;
reverse engineer or tamper with the app;
use the app for illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes;
interfere with app security or performance;
use automated tools to access the app without permission;
attempt to manipulate subscription status, payment systems, or Premium access.

12. Intellectual Property

Mealify and its content, including the app design, brand, text, recipes, images, interface, database, and Premium features, are owned by Mealify or its licensors.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Mealify for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Mealify content without written permission.

13. Changes to the Service

Mealify may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

We may add, remove, or change recipes, meal plans, Premium features, pricing, or app functionality, subject to applicable law and App Store rules.

14. Availability

We aim to keep Mealify available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The app may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, network problems, or third-party service outages.

15. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, commit fraud, attempt to bypass payment systems, or create risk for Mealify or other users.

You may stop using Mealify at any time. You may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mealify is not liable for:

dietary decisions you make based on the app;
health outcomes;
allergy, intolerance, or dietary restriction issues;
inaccurate nutrition estimates;
incorrect dietary labels or filters;
ingredient substitutions;
user failure to verify ingredients or product labels;
indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages;
loss of data, profits, or business opportunities;
third-party service failures.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mealify harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the app, violation of these Terms, reliance on recipes without independent verification, or infringement of third-party rights.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Mealify is operated, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we may notify you through the app, website, or other reasonable means.

Your continued use of Mealify after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
